Vidic is back in the squad

During a pre-season tour to South Africa Sir Alex Ferguson held a conference where he confirmed Vidic would appear in the squad in the forthcoming season.

Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that Nemanja Vidic would play from the start of the season as the defender started training with the team. The Serbian player was injured last December and has not appeared in the first team since that.

Another MU defender Chris Smalling suffered groin injury and Ferguson assured that he made positive steps towards full recovery. The player has already started training and was making promising progress.

MU manager claimed that Jonny Evans would not be fit for the start of the season having been operated lately.
