Villa-Boas says Modric might leave the club ‘for the right price’

Recently appointed Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas claimed that a young midfielder Luca Modric might leave the club as top European clubs are still greatly interested in the Croatian superstar.

The Portuguese coach noted that he respects ambitions of the player and his willingness to progress. Talks between the English club and several European top-clubs are ongoing and the agreement has not yet been reached.

During his press-conference Villas-Boas expressed his desire to claim the title of the Premier League this season, as he believes he can take the squad to a higher level. The main transfer targets of the team according to Villas-Boas are Emmanuel Adebayor and Joao Moutinho.

Andre Villas-Boas replaced Harry Redknapp as a head of Tottenham three months ago, before that he led Porto to the double in Portugal and the title of the Europe League in the season 2010/2011 and trained Chelsea for a year.
