Villa is hopeful about his return

Barcelona forward says he almost recovered after eight months out of game.

The Spanish striker David Villa played in the official match for Barcelona for the first time since December when he received a heavy injury on the field. The forward appeared in the match against Dinamo Bucharest despite predictions he would come to the first team only in September. After the match the player said the moment was a great one for him, making him ‘feel like a football player ’. Villa added he was very grateful to his team mates as he ‘had support from them on everyday bases.’

The striker underlined he should stay patient and realize that the process of rehabilitation was very slow, noting: ‘I’ve done a big step forward, I felt amazing but, I’ve been out of action, out of training for a long time and this is a long process. Right now I’m going to work hard because, without any doubt, there are other players in Barcelona who are in better physical shape than me’.
