Villa, Sunderland chase Guidetti

Daily Telegraph states that Aston Villa are willing to sign Man City striker John Guidetti on a season-long deal with an option to buy him in future.

Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill is considered main Aston Villa rival to secure the services of the 20 year-old Sweden international.

Currently Giudetti who is considered probably the brightest Sweden talent of the generation is playing on loan for the Dutch side Feyenoord. He has made 23 appearances for the club scoring 20 goals.

It remains to be seen whether the Swede chooses the regular first-team football in one of the marginal English sides or prefers continue his development as a Man City player.
