WBA to hold onto Shane Long

Steve Clark has denied rumors linking his 25 year-old forward Shane Long with a move to Liverpool.

WBA is set to hold onto their striker, who tops the team’s scoring chart with five goals in 14 games. ‘Liverpool need a striker and Shane is playing well so a journalist has put it together and tried to make a story out of it. Shane is not for sale and I’d be very surprised if Brendan Rodgers wanted to take Shane,’ said WBA coach.

Currently The Merseysiders are looking for the striker, who could strengthen the team’s attacking line. Liverpool coach is said to be prepared to pay £12 million for the Ireland international.
