WBA loanee Lukaku believes Europe is a realistic target

Sky Sports states West Bromwich Albion on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku wants the Baggies to qualify for Europe next season.

The 19-year-old Belgium international, who has joined WBA on a season-long loan deal, believes that reaching the European spot is a realistic target for his team, despite recent lack of form which ended with a 2-0 win over the Reds.

WBA are currently finding themselves in the ninth spot, five points off the sixth place, which could earn them qualification for the Europe league next season. Lukaku said: “Europe is still a target, especially for me. I think that’s the next step for me and I think it is the next step for the club as well. You have to take things one step at a time but if the club gets stronger for next year, then why not?”
