Wenger confident about top four finish

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rallied the troops ahead of the crucial Premier League clash against Wigan, calling his players to finish what they have started.

The in-form Gunners need to secure two victories in remaining two games – at home against super motivated Wigan and away against Newcastle - in order to guarantee themselves Champions League qualification.

Wenger is confident his side will bend every effort to gain necessary six points. He said: “Both teams have to go for it, it’s a huge game for both of us. We have been very consistent, we’ve been on a remarkable run and our destiny is in our own hands. Two months ago our destiny was not in our own hands. Today it is. So let’s finish the job.”

Arsenal earned 22 points from their last 8 Premier League games. Wenger said: “We have rebuilt the team and since January we have certainly done very well if you look at the number of points we have taken compared to the other teams. We have created a good basis and that stability can help us start strongly next season.”
