West Ham Taylor ready for Chelsea clash

West Ham midfielder Matthew Taylor believes he is fully recovered from his head injury and prepared to take part in the game against the bitter rivals Chelsea on Sunday, March 17.

The 31-year-old has been hit in the face by Crouch’s boot during the Sunday’s Premier League clash against Stoke City, as the tall forward tried to perform a bicycle kick. Taylor has received medical assistance on the pitch and was replaced by Collison in the 10th minute of the game. HE was assesses by the medical staff after a short period of rest.

He said: “I am not too bad. My head is fine and I am feeling a lot better. It is the first time I have been knocked out in my career, or in my life for that matter, that I can recall. I don’t remember walking off or anything, which was a bit scary. But it was just one of those things and Crouchy clearly didn’t mean to do it. There was no malice on his behalf.”
