World Cup qualifiers: England’s encounter with Montenegro under threat due to torrential rain
Pouring rain is putting England’s crucial game against Montenegro in jeopardy, with further downfall is expected throughout Tuesday.
The rain has been pouring since England’s arrival to Podgorica, and it did not let up while the national team trained at the City Stadium on Monday. Roys’ boys should beat talented Montenegro side if they are to move at the top of Group H and reach the direct qualification for the 2014 World Cup. However the game may be postponed should heavy rain render the pitch unplayable.
England boss Roy Hodgson revealed he has not any concerns regarding the pitch condition. He said: “I was quite surprised. It was in very good condition. We have no worries in that respect.”
