A Brazil footballer Adriano Bispo dos Santos acts as a defensive midfielder for Grêmio. Bispo was born on 29 May 1987.
Adriano’s the product of the youth department of Santos, where he spent the 2004/2005 season. The young footballer was a highly-rated player and the club’s management counted on him as on a first-choice footballer in future. Bispo’s debut for the senior side took place in November 2006 in a match with Paraná. The footballer got two yellow cards after just 20 minutes on the field and was sent off. Despite this fact, he managed to reveal his potential and a pro contract was penned. In 2007, he played with the team that won São Paulo State League. In 2008, Adriano had some successful runs at the Campeonato Paulista. Nevertheless, the squad’s head coach still considered Santos to be not enough experienced player. That’s why a decision to send the midfielder on loan was taken.
In 2009, Bispo had a season long loan at São Caetano. He made 24 appearances for the temporary club and was welcomed back to Santos. Adriano continued to make successful runs for the first team adding a further two state leagues to his honors. In 2011, the footballer became the holder of the Copa Libertadores. The same year, Bispo was named in the team for the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup, but the ankle injury kept him away from the game for some time. Adriano made his return to the field by winning the 2012 Recopa Sudamericana.
In 2013 the player switched for Gremio.
A Brazilian international during four years (from 2004 until 2007), Bispo represented the youth national team of his motherland at U-17 and U-20 levels.
