A Spanish footballer Alberto García Cabrera performs as a goalkeeper for Córdoba CF. Alberto was born on 9 February 1985 in Barcelona, Catalonia.
Alberto’s junior career passed at the departments of several clubs. In 2001, the young player entered the academy of Barcelona, where he was groomed during the following two years. Over the course of that time, he performed for the club’s U-17 squad. In 2003, the keeper spent a short period of time at Europa, but was very soon scouted by Cornellà. The player joined the club’s youth side in the summer 2003 and the last year of his junior career passed there.
In the summer 2004, Alberto García grabbed his first pro contract with Rayo Majadahonda. He made several appearances during the spell and moved to Sant Andreu. In the summer 2005, the goalkeeper was noticed by Villarreal. The player penned the contract and joined the club’s reserves. In 2006, he was loaned out by Águilas. Alberto made nine appearances for the temporary side.
In the summer 2006, García moved to Figueres. The stint turned to be not very long, as the keeper was soon bought out by Murcia. The 2007/2008 season Alberto spent defending the colors of Murcia B. Altogether, he appeared 20 times for the reserves. In 2009, he joined the club’s senior side. The 2008/2009 season was lined with seven appearances made. In 2009, a deal was finalized with Córdoba CF. Alberto isn’t the member of the starting XI, but he gets enough playing time to keep feet. He’s featured in more than 35 club’s fixtures.
