Alexander Bugera is a professional German footballer currently playing as a defender for 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was born on August 8, 1978 in Amberg, West Germany.
After Alexander Bugera had trained at the academies of such clubs as Inter Bergsteig Amberg and 1. FC Amberg, he was accepted to Bayern Munich Junior Team in 1995.
In 1997 the footballer signed his first professional contract with Bayern Munich and joined the senior squad. He made his debut for the side on April 4, 1998 in a match against Werder Bremen, when he substituted Mehmet Scholl in the 87th minute. However, the footballer, who played as a striker at that time, performed mainly for Bayern Munich (A), which was hard for him to swallow. So, in 1999 he went on loan to Duisburg MSV and form 2000 till 2002 played on loan for Unterhaching SpVgg.
From 2003 till 2007 Alexander Bugera featured for Duisburg MSV. At first he played at the forward line, then moved to the midfield and to the line of defense.
In 2007 Alexander Bugera signed up with 1. FC Kaiserslautern and remained loyal to the side so far.
From 1998 till 1999 the footballer took part in matches of the Germany National U21 Football Team.
