Andrey Varankow (Andrey Voronkov) was born on 8 February 1989 in Mazyr, Belarus. He trained at Mozyr specialized children and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve. Andrey’s first coach was Vyacheslav Shevchik.
In 2005, Varankow moved to the reserve team of FC Slavia-Mozyr. During one season the player performed in 12 games, notching 3 goals. In 2007, the footballer signed a contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv. In the First League Varankow represented FC Dynamo-2 Kyiv. He played for the club in 65 games and scored 10 goals. In 2007, the striker’s team won the Ukrainian Super Cup.
At the beginning of 2009/2010 season Varankow was loaned to FC Obolon Kyiv, which allowed the Belarusian footballer to participate in the Premier League. In the second half of the season, he performed for FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. The contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv was prolonged until June 2013. In 2011, Andrey played on loan for FC Karpaty Lviv. In March 2012, the striker signed a four-month loan contract with FC Neman Grodno. In September 2012, Varankow was loaned to FC Metalurh Zaporizhia.
In 2007, Andrey Varankow as a part of the Belarus national U-21 football team that won the Valentin Granatkin Memorial. At the 2011 UEFA European U-21 Football Championship in Denmark the footballer’s team finished third. In October 2007, Varankow debuted in the Belarusian national football team.
