Andrew Johnson is a footballer from England, born in 1981 in Bedford. He began to play football at Luton Town F.C. and then joined the youth system of Birmingham City, he graduated and joined the first team. In 2002 Johnson joined Crystal Palace.
In the 2003/04 season Johnson was named Football League First Division top scorer, having netted 32 goals. He helped his side to win promotion to the top division at the expense of West Ham United, whom they beat 1-0 in the play-off final. He played for Crystal Palace until his move to Everton in May 2006. He penned a five-year deal. He made his debut on 19 August 2006 and scored his goal in that match, a 2-1 win against Watford. Throughout the 2006/07 Premier League he was the top scorer in Everton, netted 11 goals.
On 7 August 2008 Johnson signed for Fulham for a reported fee of £10.5 million. In 2008/09 the team was seventh in the table thus got a Europa League spot, in 2009/10 and in 2010/11 Johnson had breaks caused by the injuries. In the summer of 2012 his contract expired and he moved to Queens Park Rangers. In 2014 Johnson was released from the club.
Andy Johnson was a part of the England U20 team at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship. He made his senior team debut in the match against the Netherlands on 9 February 2005.
