Anthony Le Tallec is a French striker currently playing for the Ligue 1 side Valenciennes. He was born on 3 October 1984 in Hennebont, France.
A product of Le Havre youth system, Anthony signed his first professional contract with a prominent English side Liverpool in 2001. He officially belonged to the Reds for seven years though he spent much time playing on loan. Thus, Le Tallec played for two seasons for his feeder club Le Havre amassing 7 goals in 54 matches. In 2005, he had a short loan spell at Saint-Étienne and then spent a season with Sunderland. In between 2006 and 2008, La Tallec featured for Sochaux helping them to win the French Cup in 2007 and Le Mans. In 2008, he signed a permanent contract with a latter club and played there for another two seasons amassing 14 goals in 70 appearances. From 2010 till 2012, the forward played for Auxerre and after that Le Tallec signed for Valenciennes where he plays today.
