Anton Amelchenko was born on 27 March 1985 in Gomel, Belarus. He currently plays as a goalkeeper for the Russian Premier League club Rostov.
Amelchenko started his youth career at his hometown club FC Gomel. In 2004, he made his first-team debut for the club, amassing 20 appearances in the 2004/05 season in total.
In 2006, Anton moved to FC Moscow, where he played for three seasons.
In March 2010, Amelchenko signed a three-year contract with FC Rostov. However, in a year he became a player of FC Lokomotiv, signing a three-year contract with the club. In 2012, Amelchenko joined FC Terek Grozny on loan.
In 2013 Anton returned to Rostov.
In the 2005/2006 season, Anton played for the Belarus U21 team amassing 14 international caps. In between 2007 and 2011, the player earned 7 international caps to the senior Belorussian squad.
