A Brazilian footballer Antônio Flávio Aires dos Santos was born on 5 January 1987 in Brejinho de Nazaré, Tocantins.
In 2003, Antônio entered the academy of Atlético Goianiense, where the first 2 years of his junior career passed. That period was very productive for the young player as he got his first priceless experience and important knowledge about the game.
In 2005, the young forward was selected for the youth side of Andraus, where he was groomed during the 2005/2006 season. Flávio produced a good performance playing for the club’s junior squad. There he caught an attention of the scouts from Santo André.
In 2007, after all the preliminary tests had been passed, Antônio was drafted into the youth department of the club, where he finished his formation. In 2008, the player got his first opportunity on the senior team of Santo André. His debut season at the professional level was lined with 7 goals netted in 27 matches. Flávio proved to be a very promising young striker.
In 2009, the footballer penned a contract with the Swiss side AIK for a term of two seasons. Antônio made 39 appearances and netted seven goals for the squad. In 2011, he was loaned out by São Caetano, where he spent a season racking up six goals in 30 games.
In 2012, Flávio became the member of Nanchang Hengyuan (Shanghai Shenxin) from the Chinese Super League. in 2014 Flavio returned to Brazil and joined Ponte Preta.
