Aquivaldo Mosquera Romaña is a Colombian defender. He was born on 22 June 1981 in Apartadó, Colombia. In 2000 Aquivaldo began his football career in Atlético Nacional with which he became the runner-up of the Colombian championship three times and won this tournament once.
In 2005 Mosquera transferred to Mexican outfit Pachuca where he continued to win trophies. In 2006 he celebrated the victory in the Mexican championship and in the Copa Sudamericana. In 2007 Aquivaldo helped his team win the CONCACAF Champions’ Cup and the Mexican championship.
Mosquera featured in virtually all the games for Pachuca as a right defender or sometimes as a centre back which prompted interest from different European clubs. In 2007 the football player moved to Spanish club Sevilla. The same year Mosquera won the Spanish Super Cup together with his new team.
In 2009 Aquivaldo sealed a deal with Mexican side América.
In 2005 Mosquero was invited to the Colombia national squad. He has already made 29 appearances for the national team.
