Artem Kravets is a Ukrainian striker who defends the colours of Dynamo Kyiv. He was born on 3 June 1989 in Dniprodzerzhynsk, Soviet Union.
He took up playing football at a local sports school in Dniprodzerzhynsk, later moving to Dynamo Kyiv. Kravets played with the reserves at Dynamo-2 Kyiv until Yuriy Semin, the former head coach of the senior squad, noticed him and invited the talented youngster to the first team. He debuted in the fixture against Arsenal Kyiv on 17 June 2007. On 2 March 2008, he scored his maiden goal in the Ukrainian Premier League. Artem’s most prominent appearance for the club was in the UEFA Cup match against Valencia on 27 February 2009, which Dynamo drew 2-2 with the Spanish side and thus progressed to the next round, thanks to 2 goals scored by Kravets. Since 2007 Kravets has made over 40 appearances for Dynamo and scored more than 10 goals (as of July 2012).
From 2008 to 2010, Artem participated in 6 games for the Ukraine U21 team. On 1 April 2009, Kravets was selected for the FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifier against England. However, Artem suffered a heavy injury shortly before the match. In February 2011, he debuted in the match against Romania.
