Artem Shtanko is a Ukrainian goalkeeper born on 6 September 1980. Artem launched his professional career at Olimpiya FCAES in 1998.
The following season he debuted for MFС Mykolaiv in the Ukrainian Premier League. From 1999 to 2003 Shtanko conceded 83 goals in 64 matches for the club. In 2004 the keeper moved to FC Illichivets Mariupol, however, he failed to get into the main squad and became an ever-present in the reserve team.
In 2008 Artem transferred to FC Obolon Kyiv that later promoted to the Premier League. In 2010 Shtanko joined FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih as a reserve keeper. However, starting from 2011 he was regularly included in the starting 11.
