Artyom Dzyuba operates as a striker for Rostov. He was born on August 22, 1988 in Moscow, Soviet Union.
Artyom got a chance to commence his career as a professional footballer, when Spartak offered him a contract in 2006 and the youngster signed a long-term contract with the club. From 2006 to 2009 Artyom Dzyub wasn’t a regular player, though sometimes the head coach called the player up to the first team, thus giving him a chance to appear on the pitch.
In 2009, Artyom didn’t get a regular place in the team and Spartak loaned him out to Tom Tomsk. During his first season at Tom Dzyuba didn’t appear regularly and next season Tom extended the loan and became a regular starter. During his spell at the club from 2009 to 2011 Artyom participated in 34 matches and scored 13 goals.
When Dzyuba returned to Spartak, he regularly showed positive display, which helped him to earn a place in the starting eleven in the battle against FC Basel and Dzyuba netted a spectacular goal in that game.
During his 2010/11 season at Spartak, Artyom helped the club to finish second in Russian Premier League and get a pass to the 2012/13 Champions League.
In 2013 the player was loaned to another Premier League side FC Rostov.
From 2007 to 2010 Artyom took part in 7 matches for the Russia U21 team and netted 3 goals. On November 11, 2011 he celebrated his international debut in a friendly against Greece.
