Bart Schenkeveld is a defender of Heracles Almelo. He was born on 28 August 1991 in Den Hoorn, Netherlands.
Bart started to play football in SV Den Hoorn in 1996. One year later, the player successfully passed a trial at Feyenoord and joined the academy of the Rotterdam side club, where he trained till 2009.
In 2009, the management of ‘De club aan de Maas’ offered the young defender to pen a professional contract and join the main squad. Schenkeveld was really glad to have such an opportunity and accepted the offer, which promised him a move up the football ladder. The player sealed a four-year deal, but made rare appearances on the pitch and often watched matches from the substitutes’ bench.
In January 2012, Feyenoord sent the young footballer on loan to Excelsior, because they wanted him to keep his playing form. Bart took part in 12 games and found the net two times for the temporary team during his spell.
In 2012, Heracles Almelo secured the defender’s services on permanent basis.
From 2009 till 2010, Schenkeveld was capped one time for the Netherlands national U-19 squad.
