Ben Mee is a defender of Burnley. He was born on 21 September 1989 in Sale, England.
In 2006, Ben joined the academy of Manchester City and started to perform for the U-19 squad of the club, from where he moved to the U-21 team two years later. It took the footballer three years to get ready for a professional level and perfect his skills.
In 2009, Mee penned his first senior contract with ‘The Citizens’, but was not given regular practice, because the head coach decided to rely on more experienced and football-wise players. In order to gain initial experience, the defender went on loan to Leicester City and took part in 15 fixtures for the club during the second part of the 2010/2011 season. In the summer 2011, Ben sealed a temporary deal with Burnley and made 19 appearances during his spell, which became a kind of a trial, because the management of ‘The Clarets’ decided to secure the footballer’s services on permanent basis later.
In January 2012, Mee put pen to paper of a contract with the new team and netted one goal in 26 games as of January 2013.
From 2007 till 2011, the defender was capped ten times and contributed one goal for the England national U-19, U-20 and U-21 squads.
