Ben Rienstra is a defender of Heracles Almelo. He was born on 5 June 1990 in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
Ben’s career took off in amateur Meervogels ‘31, from where the footballer moved to ADO ‘20. The defender’s performance attracted the attention of Ajax and AZ. Rienstra spent five years with the latter and was ready to join the main team, but he was not offered a senior contract. That is why, the footballer decided to move to Heracles Almelo, where he continues to perform up till now. Ben’s début for the club came on 28 November 2012 in the 2-1 victory over Utrecht. Two months later, on 28 January 2012, the defender netted his first goal and propelled his squad to a 3-0 victory over Excelsior. Rienstra made 43 appearances and fired one goal for Heracles as of November 2012.
At the beginning of 2012, the footballer was invited to the Netherlands national team for the friendly against Denmark, where ‘Oranje’ secured a 3-0 win. Three months later, Ben contributed his first international goal in the 3-0 victory over Egypt.
