An English footballer Benik Tunani Afobe acts as a striker for Arsenal. Benik was born on 12 February 1993 in London.
Afobe worked his way through the ranks in Arsenal, starting off with the junior side and the reserves, before graduating to the club’s top team. In 2010, the striker penned the pro contract, but the head coach still considered him to be inexperienced. That’s why a decision was taken to send Benik on loan to Huddersfield Town, where he would gain performing experience on the senior level. The 2010/2011 season was lined with five goals netted in 28 matches. In 2012, Afobe had a short stint at Reading.
In the summer 2012, a temporary deal was finalized with Bolton Wanderers. In his second match for the team, Benik scored a hat-trick. In total, he netted two goals in 20 fixtures. In 2013, a loan move to Millwall happened.
On international level, the striker represented the England U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams. In the summer 2011, Afobe was invited to join the U-20 squad. He was selected for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, but he failed to participate in the competition, as Arsenal withdrew him to join the top team in the Pre-Season camp. In 2012, Benik debuted for the England U-21 team.
