Benoit Lesoimier is a professional footballer, who currently plays for Brest.
He started to try his hand at football when he was 12 in Caen, where he stayed until the 2001 Coupe Gambardella. 2001 was the year, when Benoit had his professional career started. He was 19 years old, when his club got promoted to Ligue 1. During his first match in a higher division, the footballer got his ankle injured. That’s why he featured in only 4 matches that season, but among them was the 2005 Football League Cup Final.
At the end of the season, Lesoimier together with his club mate Bruno Grougi joined Clermont. Together with the club, he started a new stage of his career. After 2 seasons with Clermont, the footballer moved to Troyes, which took part in the Championnat de France de football National the next season.
The 2008/2009 season would be his last season for Troyes, since Brest came in with an offer Benoit simply couldn’t resist. On 23 October 2010, his first goal for a new club was netted to Bordeaux.
