Bojan Krkić Pérez is a forward, born on 28 August 1990 in Linyola, Spain.
Bojan began his career at one of the world’s best academies, FC Barcelona. For many years Krkić played for FC Barcelona’s youth teams until he was ready to switch to pro-football in 2006.
In 2006 Bojan signed a professional contract with Catalan FC Barcelona. Initially Bojan was gaining necessary experience in the reserve team of the club and struggled to make it to the main squad. Bojan performed well in 2006/2007 season scoring 10 goals in 22 matches.
The following year the forward got promoted to the club’s first team, and every now and then appeared in the starting line-up alongside the true stars. During four years Krkić was a frequent starter, becoming part of Guardiola’s dream team. But by 2011 Bojan fell out of favor and preferred to leave Barcelona in the summer.
In the summer 2011 Italian Roma purchased Bojan Krkić for a fee of €12 million in the first season, €17 and €11 million during the following two years. The debut season was very successful in appearances but not very efficient in goals. Bojan netted only 7 goals and was loaned to AC Milan for the 2012/2013 season.
After another mediocre season in Italy Bojan was offered another contract with Barcelona and was immediately loaned to the Dutch champions Ajax.
In the summer 2014 Bojan completed a permanent move to Stoke City.
From 2006 to 2010 Bojan played 20 matches and scored 16 goals for the Spain U-17 squad. From 2007 through 2011 he netted 4 goals in 21 matches in the Spain U-21 team. In 2008 Bojan received a call-up from the Spanish national team.
