Aide Brown Ideye is a football forward of Nigerian origin, born on 10 October 1988 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Ideye started his playing career at Bayelsa United, before joining Ocean Boys in 2006. He was a part of the Ocean Boys squad that became the Nigerian Premier League champion. Brown was in line to join Willem II Tilburg, but the club ruled out the possibility of signing a contract with the player.
On January 2008, Ideye signed for a Swiss side Neuchâtel Xamax. From 2008 to 2010, Ideye made 55 appearances and scored 23 goals for Xamax. In 2010, he signed a deal with Sochaux. Brown featured in 52 matches and netted 17 goals for the French side in the 2010/11 season.
On 6 July 2011, Ideye penned a five-year contract with the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv. On 16 July 2011, he made his first-team debut against PFC Oleksandria and scored 2 goals. On 7 August 2012, he netted the winner in the Champions League qualifier between Dynamo Kyiv and Feyenoord, helping the club to progress to the next round. From 2011 to 2014 Brown scored over 30 goals in more than 70 games, being Dynamo’s first-team regular.
In the summer 2014 he was lured to West Bromwich Albion.
Ideye was called up to the Nigeria U20 squad for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He managed to score one goal in 5 games. In May 2010, he won a call-up to the senior national team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
