Bruno Meneghel is a Brazilian striker, born on 3 June 1987 in Vitória, Brazil.
Bruno started his football career at the youth level in 2000, when joined the youth academy of FC Vasco. During his five years in the academy, he showed the solid play at all levels of youth squads, mastering his skills on the way. There was no surprise that such a promising youngster soon turned on attention of not only the first-team coach of his homeclub, but of the other Brazilian sides as well.
However, the Vasco management was first to offer him a professional contract and Bruno finally became a part of the senior squad in 2005. There he stayed for three years, being mostly considered as a back-up of the first-team, sporadically coming off the bench as a sub. The footballer felt, that such a squad status lingered his development and had a bit of relief, when he was sent on loan to the Italian club FC Bréscia in 2007, where he managed to show his best form, scoring 8 goals in 9 appearances for the side. Soon after the loan Bruno finally left his homeclub, for which he’d made 24 appearances and scored 4 goals.
The player’s next club was FC Bahia. There he again failed to break through to the first-team and left the club a season later, after just 5 appearances for the Tricolor side. At the beginning of 2009 Bruno clinched a deal with FC Resende, where he warmed the bench for a few months, before being transferred to FC Goiás the same year. The footballer signed this contract in a swift fashion, as the club’s head coach guaranteed him some playing time. Meneghel stayed with the side until the end of the campaign, netting 2 goals in 17 appearances.
Starting from the next season, the Brazilian represented FC Náutico (14 apps/8 goals), then moved to FC Criciúma (8 apps/0 goals) in 2011 and finished the Brazilian stage of his career with FC América-MG (8 apps/3 goals), which he joined in 2012.
Later the same year Bruno traveled to another continent, where he sealed a deal with FC Qingdao Jonoon, representing the Chinese Super League. There he revived his career and re-established himself as a prolific finisher.
In 2014 Meneghel moved to Dalian Aerbin.
