Caner Erkin is a professional Turkish football player starring as a midfielder for Fenerbahçe (Turkey) and the Turkey National Football Team. He was born on October 4, 1988 in Edremit, Turkey.
Caner Erkin’s football career started in 2002 at the youth club of Edremitspor, where he stayed till 2004. The player’s professional career began in 2004 at Manisaspor, the club Caner Erkin spent 3 years at. In 2005 when the Turkish team finished on the 4th place in the FIFA U17 World Cup, the footballer was named the second best scorer.
In the offseason of 2006/2007 Caner Erkin was bought by CSKA Moscow PFC. In 2008 the footballer scored his first and last goal for CSKA Moscow in a match against Spartak Moscow FC. On August 31, 2009 the player was loaned to Galatasaray (Turkey). In 2010 Caner Erkin was signed by Fenerbahçe for €2 million for 4 years. His jersey number is 88.
Caner Erkin made his international debut for the Turkish national team at the age of 17. It was a friendly against Ghana in May 2006. He scored his first goal on June 5, 2012 in a match against Ukraine.
