Carlton Cole is a striker of West Ham United. He was born on 12 October 1983 in Croydon, England.
Cole graduated to the main team of Chelsea F.C. in 2001 after being a trainee of the club’s academy. During five years, the striker performed for ‘The Blues’, but his career in the London side squad was not very successful.
In 2002 Carlton was sent on a season-long loan to Wolverhampton, where he made seven appearances and netted one goal. In 2003 the footballer completed a move on loan to Charlton Athletic and everything started to get better, because he featured in 21 games and found the net four times during that season. In the summer 2004, Cole sealed a loan deal with Aston Villa, where he took part in 27 matches and fired three goals.
In 2006 London side West Ham United secured the striker’s services and made him one of the team’s pivots soon after. During six years with ‘The Hammers’, Cole made 206 appearances and went on to net 47 times.
In the summer 2013 he was released from the squad but was called back a couple of months later to cover the injured Andy Carroll.
From 2003 till 2005, Carlton was capped 19 times and contributed six goals for the England national U-21 team. From 2009 till 2010, he featured in seven games of the full Three Lions.
