Chris Löwe is a German left back, born in Plauen, the Free State of Saxony.
Löwe began his football career in the FC Wacker Plauen youth team, based in his hometown. At the age of 13 the future defender moved to Chemnitzer FC, where in five years was promoted to the first team.
Chris opened his account with Chemnitzer on 17 August 2008 in the opening round game of the Regionalliga Nord against Energie Cottbus second team. The match ended in a 1-1 home draw and Löwe appeared on the pitch as a sub for Marcel Schlosser in the 73rd minute.
In the summer of 2011 Chris joined Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €200.000. The player signed a contract with the Black Yellows until the beginning of 2015. Löwe made a quick start for the new club, as the key left back Marcel Schlosser was injured at that time.
On 23 June 2011 the young defender made his first line-up start in the DFL-Supercup. His team lost to FC Schalke 04 on penalties. Löwe spent 77 minutes on the pitch and was replaced by Moritz Leitner.
On 5 August 2011 Chris played his debut Bundesliga match against HSV. The back spent 75 minutes on the pitch until he was substituted by the midfielder Ivan Perisic in the opening game of the 2011/12 season.
In January 2013 the young defender switched to the Second Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern.
