Christian Eichner

Christian Eichner is a footballer from Germany. He was born in 1982 and began to play football in his native city Sulzfeld, where he was born, at Sportfreunde Sulzfeld. Having spent there ten years he joined Karlsruher SC.

After graduating from the academy he joined the reserve team in 2001 and on 7 August 2005 made his first team debut. On 12 August 2008 Eichner made his Bundesliga debut in the match Nurnberg, which was a 2-0 victory. All in all he made 128 appearances for Karlsruher SC and in 2009 he signed for 1899 Hoffenheim. His first game for the team was a 0-0 draw against Schalke 04 on 21 August 2009. In January 2011 Christian Eichner moved to 1. FC Köln signing a contract valid till 30 June 2011. In April 2011 his contract was extended.
