Ciprian Marica

Marica made his first appearance in the end of 2001/2002 playing for Dinamo Bucureşti and became the champion of Romania the same year.

March 2004 was marked by the footballer’s transfer to Shakhtar Donetsk for €5 million. The forward took part in 12 games and scored four goals during his first season in the new club.
Three years later, in July 2007, Ciprian signed a four-year contract with then Bundesliga champion Stuttgart and became the most expensive player in club’s history.

In the spring 2011 he was offered to move to Lokomotiv Moscow, but Marica rejected the offer due to personal reasons.

In the summer the same year Ciprian and the management cancelled the contract, according to which he had to perform for the club till June 2012 and the footballer joined other Bundesliga team Schalke 04 several months later. After two years with the German side Marica moved to Getafe in September 2013. One year later the player moved to Konyaspor.
