Colin Doyle is a goalkeeper of Birmingham City. He was born on 12 June 1985 in Cork, Ireland.
In 2003, Colin graduated from the academy of Birmingham City and became a part of the main squad. However, the footballer had to make sub appearances, and the head coach sometimes did not include him into the roster for various games. At the beginning of 2004, Doyle went on loan to Chester City, but failed to feature in any matches for the team during his spell.
In the summer 2004, the keeper sealed a temporary deal with Nottingham Forrest and was given a chance to take part in three matches for the club. In January 2005, Colin was loaned out to Millwall, which saw him make four appearances during one month. However, the management of the team decided to extend the footballer’s loan deal till the end of the 2005/2006 season, and Doyle added ten more matches to his tally.
In 2010, the goalkeeper completed a temporary move to Coventry City, but failed to come on the pitch for the club during his spell.
Colin featured in 30 matches for Birmingham City as of January 2013.
From 2004 till 2005, the footballer took part in four games for the Republic of Ireland national U-21 squad. From 2007, Doyle has been capped one time for the full national team.
