Craig Alcock is a defender, born on 8 December 1987 in Truro, England.
In 2005, Craig graduated from the academy of Yeovil Town and put pen to paper of his first professional contract with the club. After six months with ‘The Glovers’, the footballer went on loan to Weston-super-Mare and made three appearances for the team during his spell. In 2007, Alcock featured in five games for Taunton Town and sealed a temporary deal with Tiverton Town, where he took part in 11 fixtures before returning to his parent Yeovil Town in January 2008.
The defender started to make occasional appearances for ‘The Glovers’ and gained the manager’s confidence due to solid and encouraging performance, which helped him to fire three goals in 107 matches for the club during six years.
In 2011, Peterborough United took an interest in Craig and lodged a tempting bid for him. The parties agreed the terms of the transfer, and the footballer penned a contract with the new team, where he was given a place in the starting XI at once. Alcock featured in 112 games for ‘The Posh’ during three seasons.
In the summer 2014 he switched for Sheffield United.
