Dan Gosling

Dan Gosling is a midfielder, born on 1 February 1990 in Brixham, England.

Dan’s youth career took off in his native Brixham, when Brixham United admitted the young footballer in its academy and put him in a youth team. During several years Dan was a trainee of the club and he was considered one of the brightest talents. That is why he attracted the attention of different English squads.

In 2003 Gosling accepted an offer from Plymouth Argyle and spent three years there. During all that time Dan developed his skills and got closer to professional performance.

In 2006 the footballer began his senior career by signing for Plymouth Argyle. He was the first team player, but made only 22 appearances and scored two goals during two seasons.

In 2006 English side Everton took an interest in the young and promising footballer. The English Premier League club undertook all necessary actions for Gosling to move to the team as soon as possible. In the summer 2008 the midfielder penned another contract in his career, this time with Everton. He spent two seasons in the club as well, but Dan’s appearances were not as frequent as he wanted, because he took part only in 22 games and netted four goals.

In 2010 Newcastle United bought the young English player and signed a long-term contract with him. Due to the high competition in the first team and a very important 2011/2012 season, Dan did not manage to come on the pitch very often, because his professional level did not reach the level of a regular. That is why the midfielder made only 13 appearances and found the net one time during two years of his performance for Newcastle United. In 2013 Gosling had a brief loan spell with Blackpool and later moved to Bournemouth.

From 2007 till 2009 Dan represented England at almost all international levels (except U20). He took part in 18 matches and contributed one goal.
