Daniele Bonera is A.C. Milan central back. He was born on 31 May 1981 in Brescia, Italy.
Bonera’s youth career started in 1995 at Brescia Calcio youth academy. For 4 years Daniele had been a promising student and eventually was offered a professional contract.
In 1999 Daniele Bonera signed his first professional contract with Brescia Calcio. Due to his big potential, the head coach periodically included the young center back in the starting lineup. Despite his lack of experience in pro football, Bonera performed well in his debut season. From 1999 to 2002 Daniele appeared in 60 matches for Brescia.
In 2002 Daniele was offered to join Parma F.C., a prestigious Serie A side. Daniele accepted the offer and played for Parma until 2006. Bonera performed well at the new club and eventually was promoted to the starting eleven. From 2002 to 2006 Daniele Bonera scored 1 goal in 114 appearances for Parma F.C.
In 2006 Bonera pushed himself to new heights and joined A.C. Milan. The transfer cost Milan 3.3 million euros. Now Bonera is a frequent name in the starting lineup list, with 104 appearances so far.
From 2001 to 2004 Bonera has been capped 34 times at U-21 international level. In 2004 he played 5 matches for the Italian Olympic Team. From 2001 to 2008 he was capped 16 times for Italy.
