Danilo Avelar. Biography

Danilo Fernando Avelar is a Brazilian midfielder currently playing for Cagliari in the Italian top league. He was born on 9 June 1989 in Paranavaí, Brazil.

At the early years of his career Danilo played for such Brazilian teams as Paranavaí, Joinville, Paraná and Rio Claro. In 2010, he joined the Ukrainian Premier League side Karpaty Lviv. In 2011, Avelar was sent on loan to the German Bundesliga club Schalke 04 where he became part of the squad who won the German Cup in the 2010/11 season. In 2012, Danilo Avelar joined an Italian club Cagliari on loan and one year later signed a permanent deal.
