Danny Hollands is a midfielder, born on 6 November 1985 in Ashford, England.
In 2001, Danny attracted the attention of Chelsea scouts, who offered him to join the academy of the club. The footballer accepted the offer without hesitation and spent last two years of his youth career with ‘The Blues’, which helped him to develop his best qualities and get ready for a professional start.
In 2003, Hollands put pen to paper of a senior contract with the team, but he did not get regular playing practice and had to raise the level of his performance during trainings with the main squad. After two years and a half at Cobham, the midfielder went on loan to Torquay United and netted one goal in ten fixtures for the club during his spell.
In 2006, Danny sealed a deal with Bournemouth and became one of the pivots, who amassed 24 goals in 193 games for the team during five years. In 2011, the footballer completed a permanent move to Charlton Athletic and spent one season with ‘The Addicks’ before being sent on loan to Swindon Town, where he fired two goals in ten matches. After returning to his parent club, Hollands took his tally to 57 appearances and seven goals.
Later on Hollands was loaned to Gillingham and Portsmouth. In the summer 2014 the player penned a permanent deal with the Pompey.
