Danny Swanson is a midfielder, born on 28 December 1986 in Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Danny spent his youth career in the academies of Hutchison Vale and Leith Athletic, but penned his first senior contract with Berwick Rangers in 2005. The footballer made several appearances for the club during his début season, but failed to impress the manager, which saw him sit on the substitutes’ bench in the hope of getting in the starting line-up one day. However, the miracle did not happen, and Swanson fired only four goals in 44 fixtures for the team during three years.
In 2008, Dundee United secured the midfielder’s services on a four-year deal. Danny quickly adapted to the new atmosphere and became one of anchor players, who amassed 12 goals in 107 matches for the club during four seasons.
In the summer 2012, the footballer completed a two-year move to Peterborough United. After that he joined Coventry.
