David Stockdale is a goalkeeper, born on 20 September 1985 in Leeds, England.
David began his professional career in York City. He managed to establish himself in the first team after several matches, but failed to become a regular and had to play the role of a second-choice goalkeeper. In 2005 Stockdale was sent on a six-month loan to Wakefield-Emley, then to Worksop Town, where he made six appearances since January 2006.

In 2008 David moved to London side Fulham, which needed a reserve goalkeeper. Stockdale maintained his shape in different temporary clubs. In 2008 he went on loan to Rotherham United, where the footballer made eight appearances. In 2009 David signed a loan deal with Leicester City and took part in eight games of the team as well.
