David Tsorayev was born on May 7, 1983 in Ordzhonikidze, the Soviet Union.
At the age of 10 Tsorayev joined the local football school and grabbed the ins and outs of football there.
In 2000, the young footballer signed his first professional contract with FC Avtodor Vladikavkaz. Here he made a total of 82 appearances and scored 7 goals for the club for a three-year spell. In 2004, Tsorayev signed for FC KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny, accepting the invitation of its then manager Yuri Gazzaev.
In 2008 David signed a three-year contract with FC Anzhi Makhachkala and spent the following two seasons in the Russian First Division later on breaking into the Russian Premier league. In 2010 Tsorayev made his top-flight debut in the first-round game against FC Spartak Nalchik. All in all the midfielder appeared in 90 matches and netted 15 goals for Anji.
On January 2011, David Tsorayev signed a three-year agreement with Kuban and on March 13, he made his debut against FC Rubin Kazan. Three years later he moved to SKA-Energia from the city of Khabarovsk.
