Davor Šuker is former Croatian footballer. He was born in 1968 in Osijek and began to play football with the local team Osijek in 1984. In 1989 he moved to Dinamo Zagreb and until his departure in 1991 he made 60 league appearances and scored 34 goals. Then Šuker moved to Spain, where he signed for Sevilla. There he had a prolific period, playing until 1996 he featured in 153 games and scored 76 goals.
The following three seasons Šuker spent with Real Madrid and then he left La Liga for the Premier League side Arsenal. He made his debut in a 2-1 loss against Manchester United and after a season there Šuker joined West Ham United for one season and for the 2001/02 season he moved to Germany signing for 1860 Munich. His debut came on 1 December 2001 in a 1-0 win against Energie Cottbus. In 2003 he retired.
Šuker was a part of the Yugoslavia national youth teams winning the 1987 FIFA World Youth Championship and finished runners-up in UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He made two appearances for the Yugoslavia national team. Since 1992 he was called up to play for the Croatia national team, made 69 appearances and scored 45 goals.
