Dela Yampolsky was born on 28 July 1988 in Nigeria. The boy was adopted by Israeli of Russian origin. Dela’s step father took him and his mother away from Nigeria to Israel after he got married.
In 2003 Dela entered the youth academy of Bnei Yehuda. In 2004 he joined Maccabi Netanya. Yampolsky spent two years with the youth team of the club before making it to the main team where the footballer established himself as a squad regular. From 2005 to 2011 Dela made 127 appearances for Maccabi Netanya and scored 13 goals.
On 20 June 2011 the footballer moved to Maccabi Haifa for a fee of $440,000. The attacking midfielder rejected a move to Hapoel Tel Aviv and TSV 1860 München because he wanted to play in the Champions League with Maccabi Haifa. From 2005 to 2010 Dela Yampolsky was called up to different youth squads of the Israel national team.
