Detinho. Biography

José Wellington Bento dos Santos is a footballer from Brazil, currently playing for the Hong Kong First Division League team Citizen. He was born on 11 September 1973 in Sergipe, Brazil.

During his professional playing career he played for Portuguese and Brazilian clubs, starting with Vasco-SE, the other clubs he played for are Paços de Ferreira, S.C. Vianense, U.D. Oliveirense, Futebol Clube do Marco, S.C. Campomaiorense, Leixões S.C., Imortal DC and in 2006 he moved to Hong Kong joining South China. During his stay with the club he was awarded South China Star of the Month trice, was the second best scorer in the Hong Kong First Division League in 2006/07 and in the 2006/07 season he was named the Best Performing Player.

In 2009 he signed for Citizen. In the final of the 2010/11 Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield he was used as a substitute, helping the team to end the game 3-3 draw and win the title on penalty shootout.
