Diego Martín Rodríguez Berrini is a football player from Uruguay, born in 1989. He began his professional playing career at Defensor Sporting, joining them in 2009 and made his first appearance for the side on 27 October 2009, that was the match against Tacuarembó F.C. In 2013 the midfielder was loaned to the Italian side Udinese.
Being a part of the Uruguay U20 national team Rodríguez travelled to Venezuela to take part in the South American Youth Championship in 2009. He was called to the Uruguayan national U20 team playing in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, held in Egypt.
In 2011 Rodríguez helped the Uruguay U22 team to finish third at the 2011 Pan American Games and in 2012 he was a part of the team at the Summer Olympics in London. Since November 2011 he’s been called to play for the senior squad, making his debut in FIFA World Cup qualification game against Chile.
