Dmytro Babenko. Biography

Dmytro Babenko is a goalkeeper who represents Hoverla Uzhhorod. He was born on 28 June 1978 in Luhansk, Soviet Union.

In 1995 Dmytro signed a professional contract with Khimik Sieverodonetsk. From 1995 to 1997 he made only 9 appearances, being a second-choice goalie at the club. Despite Dmytro had limited first-team opportunities at Khimik, he managed to spark interest of scouts from several Ukrainian clubs.

In 1997 Babenko was transferred to Zorya Luhansk. Thanks to his brilliant display, Dmytro established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at Zorya. During his 1997-2005 stay at the club he featured in 178 matches.

In 2006 Dmytro Babenko joined Hoverla Uzhhorod. Since 2006 he has registered over 130 outings for the club, being a first-team regular at Hoverla.
