Mauritanian footballer Dominique Da Silva was born on 16 August 1990 in the city of Nouakchott. He currently plays as a forward for Al-Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League.
Dominique started out his football grooming at Académie de Football Nouakchott. He got a first taste of professional action with a Tunisian top-flight side CS Sfaxien in 2007. Da Silva was an instrumental figure during the 2008/09 season as he helped his side to win the Tunisian Cup. Dominique played for Sfaxien for four years amassing 9 goals in 27 appearances before he joined the Egyptian giant club Al-Ahly in 2010. Da Silva got off to a flying start in Cairo as he aided his team to win the seventh consecutive Egyptian Premier League.
Dominique Da Silva is capped to the Mauritania national team since 2007. He scored his maiden international goal in a match against Morocco in 2008.
