Dwight Tiendalli is a football player, born in 1985 in Paramaribo, Suriname. He was a small boy when his parents and he moved to the Netherlands. He began to play football at the youth system of Amsterdamsche FC and then switched to the academy of Ajax. In the summer of 2004 Tiendalli moved to Utrecht thus gave a start of his professional career. There he made his debut on 19 December 2004 in a 1-0 win over Den Bosch. During his first season with the club he made 11 appearances and scored once. The following season he was used more often and at the end of the season attracted the attention of such Spanish teams as Real Betis, Espanyol, Celta de Vigo and the Dutch club Feyenoord.
Tiendalli signed a four-year deal with Feyenoord in the summer of 2006 for a fee of €2 million. His debut there was in the match against Heracles Almelo, which was a 0-0 draw. Later that season he picked up an injury and stayed aside from the end of a season. In January 2008 Dwight Tiendalli was loaned to Sparta Rotterdam and in September 2009 he penned a deal with FC Twente. He helped them to win the 2009/10 Eredivisie title.
In September 2012 Tiendalli moved to the Premier League club Swansea City. His first game for the club was the League Cup match against Crawley Town, ended in a 3-2 win.
He was called up to play for the Netherlands U-21 team and was a part of the team at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the UEFA U-21 Championship in 2006.
